- Ion exchange. Replacing chlorine ions with sodium ions is good, but the installation turns out to be expensive and difficult to operate.
- Reverse osmosis. A membrane stands in the way of impurities. The most progressive method, which allows to achieve high results in a short time.
- Chemical cleaning. As very effective and reliable. A chemical reagent dechlorator is taken and added to tap water: flowing or collected in an appropriate tank. The substance reacts with chlorine compounds, turning them into something less harmful. Thiosulfate, sulfate or sodium hydrosulfate are the most commonly used.
- The adsorption method with the addition of activated carbon, which adsorbs all unnecessary, while not adding harm on its part. The purification is rougher, but it has a higher capacity. Such water filters are cheaper and more versatile. They are cleaned by backwashing, which means that no additional costs are required.
